After the devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar several days ago, a young man, around 20 years old, was rescued alive from the rubble of a collapsed hotel in the capital Naypyitaw, five days after the disaster.

The earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.7, claimed the lives of over 2,700 people and caused significant damage.

Myanmar’s fire services, in collaboration with rescue teams from Turkey, were able to locate and pull the young man out from the rubble of the Aye Chan Thar hotel in Ottarathiri Township.

The rescue operation took place around 00:30 local time (20:00 our time).

This wasn’t the only miraculous rescue following the earthquake.

A day earlier, rescue teams managed to pull a 60-year-old woman out of the ruins of a collapsed building after being trapped for 91 hours.
