The Committee for International Relations of the Montenegrin Parliament supported the government’s proposal to appoint Bernard Čobaj and Nebojša Gjoković as ambassadors to Kosovo and Serbia.

With this decision, after four years, the ambassadorial positions in Pristina and Belgrade will be filled again.

The future ambassador to Belgrade received unanimous support, while the vote for the ambassador in Pristina was not supported by deputies from pro-Russian parties who do not recognize Kosovo’s independence, Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević.

Montenegro’s previous ambassador to Prishtina, Ferhat Dinoshi, left his post in 2020 after meeting the requirements for retirement, reports REL.

Meanwhile, the former ambassador to Belgrade, Tarzan Milošević, left his post after the change of government in Montenegro in 2020. He was a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists, which was led by former President Milo Đukanović.
