The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) has awarded its annual journalism prizes.

Agon Sinanaj was named Journalist of the Year 2025 for his investigative work on Kosovo’s electricity imports during 2025.

Over the course of a year, his investigation uncovered abuses by KESCO and ZRRE, including the illegal selection of a single company (NoaEnergy Trade), price manipulation, and black-market energy trading. His reporting prompted public reactions and investigations by the Special Prosecutor’s Office and ZRRE.

Vlerë Mehmeti from KTV won the award for Best TV Story, exposing overpriced purchases of healthcare equipment that never reached people with disabilities.

Besarta Hoti from Nacionale.com won the award for Best Web Story, documenting misuse of parents’ funds by kindergarten staff, revealing how certain officials and administrators unfairly profited from parents’ payments.
