The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) has confirmed that cameraman Jetmir Muji, who was previously arrested by the Kosovo Police, has been released.

“The AGK has been informed that after several hours of illegal detention at the Central Police Station, cameraman Jetmir Muji has been released,” the association stated.

AGK emphasized that Muji was held without explanation, and a prosecutor later ordered his release.

“The AGK strongly condemns the arbitrary arrest and detention of Muji for several hours and calls on the Kosovo Police to take responsibility for any abuse of authority by its officers,” the statement added.

Earlier, AGK reported that Muji was arrested while filming a report about the schooling of President Vjosa Osmani’s daughters. President Osmani also reacted, describing the incident as a “continuous, illegal, and dangerous harassment” against her minor children by certain media outlets.
