An agreement worth 50 million euros for energy efficiency has been signed with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Around 400 public buildings will be insulated according to energy efficiency principles in Kosovo.

This follows the signing of the agreement on Friday between the Kosovo Fund for Energy Efficiency and the EBRD.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Finance, Labor, and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, who stated that the loan from the EBRD amounts to 50 million euros, while the total project cost is 86 million euros.

The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, mentioned that the project will help reduce energy consumption. According to her, the stock of buildings in Kosovo consumes about 40 percent of the energy in the country.
