In Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday, the Free Trade Agreement between the member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the Republic of Kosovo was signed.

Regarding this, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, responded with a statement on his Facebook page.

“Historic day in Davos – we signed the Free Trade Agreement with the member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). We are the only country in the region that has agreements with EFTA states covering both goods and services trade,” Kurti wrote.

He added that this agreement marks a new chapter in strengthening economic ties and exchanges between our republic and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, offering great opportunities for local producers and businesses, as well as a strong impetus for the rapid economic development of the country.
