Former Member of the Kosovo Assembly, Gramos Agusholli, was detained and released today by Serbian authorities at the Merdar border crossing, reports Rks News.

Speaking to RTK, he stated that the detention “was an unexpected stop, without any clear reason. One has to deal with such unnecessary tensions.”

Agusholli explained that he remained at the border crossing from 9:00 AM, where he was stopped by the police and had to wait “approximately three hours in the car.” He was then interrogated for nearly four continuous hours in the offices of the state service.

He added that “the main topic was my political engagement, my membership in the Vetëvendosje Movement, and my family’s involvement with the KLA during the last war.”
