Ali Ahmeti, leader of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), emphasized that the Ohrid Agreement remains a cornerstone for peace and stability in North Macedonia and must be respected by all political actors.

Speaking at the promotional convention of the National Alliance for Integration (AKI), Ahmeti highlighted that over the past two decades, with the support of the United States, the European Union, and NATO, significant progress has been made in implementing the agreement in cooperation with domestic political forces.

Referring to recent political developments, Ahmeti accused the opposition of attempting to undermine the rights of Albanians and create interethnic tensions. He insisted that Albanians remain united in protecting their achievements and in securing the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration.

“We want peace, stability, and a European future. Our determination for NATO and the EU has kept us united, not only to preserve national rights but also to move the country forward,” Ahmeti said.

The DUI leader also urged citizens to participate actively in the October 19 elections, stressing that Albanian unity is decisive for the country’s political future.
