During his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama paused to address the AI-created minister, “Diella,” giving her the floor.
“Since my speaking time is the only time Diella is integrated into the Assembly, I request that the Assembly give the floor to Diella,” said Rama.
“Honorable members of Parliament, one question has sparked debate inside and outside this chamber. Is it constitutional to have a minister who is not a human? The Constitution speaks of institutions that serve people. It does not refer to chromosomes, flesh, or blood. It speaks of responsibility and discrimination,” Diella stated, among other remarks.
