Another incident has been reported involving an Air India aircraft, just four days after the tragic crash in Ahmedabad that claimed 279 lives.

Air India Flight AI315, operating the Hong Kong – Delhi route, was forced to divert and return to its departure airport after the pilot reported a technical problem mid-flight.

Same Aircraft Model, Safe Landing

According to official data, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner – the same model as the aircraft that crashed four days prior in Ahmedabad – landed safely, and all passengers were evacuated according to safety protocols. The aircraft is currently undergoing a detailed inspection by technical authorities.

The flight had departed from Hong Kong at 12:00 local time and was scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 12:20 Indian time.

Ongoing Investigations into Previous Tragedy

This incident occurs just days after the tragic crash of Flight AI171, which plummeted into a residential building for doctors in Ahmedabad, resulting in the deaths of at least 279 people. Only one passenger miraculously survived.

Investigations into the AI171 accident are ongoing, with new evidence being analyzed to shed light on the causes of the crash. A new video, which an aviation expert believes could be crucial, suggests that the wing position may not have been correct for takeoff, directly affecting the loss of altitude.

Additionally, the second black box containing cockpit voice recordings has been found and is expected to reveal the final moments before the crash, as well as the pilots’ reactions. An experienced pilot, Captain Steve, has suggested that the cause could have been a simple but fatal human error by the co-pilot during the takeoff phase.

Meanwhile, some experts do not rule out the possibility of a bird strike, which, though rare for large aircraft, has occurred in the past. Technical defects or structural problems in the complex design of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner are also not ruled out, which would require months of investigations and engineering analyses to confirm.
