The Emergency Management Agency (AME) has reported a critical wildfire situation across Kosovo, with 80 fire outbreaks recorded between 14:00 and 20:00 on Sunday afternoon.

According to the official report, 35 fires remain active, while 45 have been contained thanks to the efforts of emergency response teams.

The most affected area is the Municipality of Klina, specifically in the villages of Siqevë and Resnikë, where challenging terrain is hindering rapid intervention efforts.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported. All available firefighting and emergency response units have been deployed to the field and are working intensively to bring the situation under control.

AME has issued a strong appeal to citizens to exercise heightened caution, urging them to avoid any actions that may ignite fires and to immediately report any suspicious activity to emergency numbers 112, 193, or 192.

The agency expressed its gratitude to the firefighters for their dedication, as well as to the Kosovo Police and KFOR for their support in managing the crisis.
