The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers took place in Switzerland today.
Albania has been drawn into a tough group, facing England, Serbia, Latvia, and Andorra.
However, the draw for Albania was made third, following England and Serbia, and the disappointment was immediately noticeable in the faces of President Armand Duka and coach Sylvinho, as seen by FIFA’s camera operators.
As soon as the draw was made, the cameras focused on them, who were clearly not expecting such a challenging group, realizing immediately that Albania had been placed in what can be called a “group of death.”
