Albania will perform today on the Eurovision stage. “Shkodra Elektronike,” featuring Beatriçe Gjergji and Kolë Laca, will sing in Albanian in Basel, Switzerland.

Prime Minister Edi Rama started his morning on social media by wishing success to Albania’s representatives at the European stage.

Good morning, and wishing success to Albania tonight in Eurovision with Beatriçe and Kolë from Shkodra Elektronike. Have a wonderful day,” Rama wrote.

During the opening ceremony, the group “Shkodra Elektronike” amazed the festival’s fans with a dress handcrafted by Beatriçe’s mother, Irina Dema. Beatriçe highlighted Albanian heritage through symbolic elements accompanying her attire: from traditional patterns to a special handbag and a jewelry box once owned by her grandmother.

The theme of the costume, titled “Grandmother’s Welcoming Room,” carried a strong emotional and identity message that caught the attention of international media.

The 69th edition of the prestigious European music competition will take place for three consecutive days in Basel, Switzerland, starting on May 13, with the grand finale scheduled for Saturday, May 17.
