Among more than 3 million newly released documents from the U.S. Department of Justice related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, there is a reference that involves Albania.

The documents include an email from former Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE), Thorbjørn Jagland, sent to Epstein following his visit to Tirana in 2012.

Dated May 25, 2012, the email reads:

“Jeffrey, no, I haven’t called yet. I was in Tirana (Albania), wonderful girls. I will go to Jordan, Palestine, and Israel. Back on Thursday.”

This material is part of a larger release by the Department of Justice, which includes photos, phone records, interview transcripts, and court documents, under a law aimed at revealing what the government knew about Epstein’s sexual abuse of underage girls and his connections with powerful figures.

The files also include flight logs showing that Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton flew on Epstein’s private plane in the 1990s, before investigations into his abuse emerged. Neither Trump nor Clinton has been publicly accused, and both have stated they were unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities.

Jeffrey Epstein died in a New York jail cell in August 2019, one month after being federally charged with sex trafficking of minors.
