The Albanian Police have announced comprehensive security measures for the nationwide opposition protest scheduled for Friday at 18:00 in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Authorities confirmed that over 1,000 officers will be deployed, including regular police, the National Security Forces, RENEA, and plainclothes agents.

To ensure safety and smooth traffic management, vehicle parking will be prohibited from 23:45 Thursday night along Bulevardi “Dëshmorët e Kombit,” from “Ura e Dajtit” to “Ismail Qemali” street, until the conclusion of the protest.

On the day of the protest, vehicle movement will be restricted from 15:00 onwards on Bulevardi “Dëshmorët e Kombit,” from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to Sheshi “Nënë Tereza,” as well as on the streets “Ukraina e Lirë,” “Papa Gjon Pali II,” and “Ismail Qemali.”

Depending on how the protest unfolds, further traffic restrictions may be implemented on additional routes. In case of road closures, police have prepared alternative routes for vehicle diversion.

The police urged citizens to avoid traveling in areas that will be blocked to ensure the free movement of protesters and to maintain public order and safety. Citizens are also advised to keep their distance from any illegal actions that could endanger security.
