World Cup 2026 qualifiers in Group K are set for a highly anticipated clash as Albania faces Serbia this Saturday at 8:45 PM at the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium in Tirana. Adding to the significance, UEFA has appointed an all-Italian officiating team, with Davide Massa designated as the main referee.

Massa, one of Serie A’s most prominent referees, will be assisted by Filippo Meli and Ciro Carbone. Fabio Maresca will serve as the fourth official, while Aleandro Di Paolo and Daniele Doveri will manage the VAR.

This marks Massa’s return to Tirana after nearly nine years; his only previous engagement with Albania was on November 16, 2015, when he officiated a 2-2 friendly draw against Georgia at the “Qemal Stafa” stadium.

For Albania, this match represents their third fixture in the group. In contrast, it will be Serbia’s first challenge in this qualifying campaign.
