Albania lit up the Eurovision stage with the song “Zjerm”, performed by Shkodra Elektronike.

The group took the stage 12th in the performance order.

The performance featured dynamic visual effects and distinctive electronic rhythms, receiving enthusiastic reactions from Eurovision fans.

Following Albania, three more countries will perform before the voting for finalists opens.

Shkodra Elektronike was founded in 2019 and their repertoire mainly includes reinterpretations and reworkings of gems from Albanian music. Initially formed as a project group, they performed at many notable Albanian and Italian events. Their first major performance was during the opening of the Kosovo and Albania Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2019. They continued developing their style through appearances such as the opening of Adrian Paci’s solo exhibition in Tirana and the 4th edition of the “Zā Fest” festival, among others. In 2020, they began releasing their first songs. The original track “Ku e gjeta vendin” won a special prize at the “Lule Borë” festival, followed by other songs a year later, such as “Synin si qershia” and “Turtulleshë.”

In last year’s edition, with public votes, Besa Kokëdhima earned the right to represent Albania with the song “Zemër n’dorë.” However, the winner of the edition was Mal Retkoceri with the song “Çmendur.” A total of 22 songs were performed in the final.
