Albania’s Council of Ministers has approved a decision to reward employees who fought against recent wildfires with a bonus of one to three months’ salary. According to Minister of Defense Pirro Virgu, the decision recognizes the “noble and in many cases self-sacrificing mission” of the personnel. The reward will be distributed to employees from the Albanian Armed Forces, the State Police, the National Civil Protection Agency, and various fire and rescue services.
