Following the conclusion of the vote count in Albania, the focus for many has shifted to a different kind of countdown: the days remaining until the highly anticipated Albania–Serbia match, set to take place on June 7 at the Air Albania Stadium (“Arena Kombëtare”) in Tirana.

This match will be played without visiting supporters, meaning only Albania’s red-and-black fans will fill the stands. As a result, the demand for tickets is unprecedented, prompting the Albanian Football Association (FSHF) to implement a unique ticket distribution process.

How does the ticketing process work?
Fation Kodra, head of FSHF’s communications department, explained in an interview with Top Channel journalist Endi Tufa that ticket access is being handled through a registration and lottery system.

“First, fans must register. Once registered, they can apply to purchase up to four tickets in the designated stands. After completing this process, they will receive a confirmation from the e-ticketing company, confirming their application,” Kodra stated.
He emphasized that this process is open to all Albanian fans, regardless of where they live.

Why this special method?
Due to overwhelming demand, FSHF opted for a system commonly used by other football federations and even UEFA in high-demand matches, to ensure fairness and transparency.

Important Dates:

The registration and application process began on May 15.

The computerized draw (lottery) to determine who can purchase tickets will take place from May 30 to June 2.

Winners will be notified via a personalized email with a unique link from the e-ticketing platform, allowing them to proceed with the actual ticket purchase.

This approach aims to manage the huge excitement around what promises to be one of Albania’s most emotionally charged football matches in recent memory.
