Gino Mulliqi, a member of the Albanian-American Council, has welcomed the recent mention of the Kosovo-Serbia issue by U.S. President Donald Trump, calling it a positive development for Albanians.

In an interview with Klan Kosova, Mulliqi emphasized that Albanian-Americans have been actively engaged in pushing for a stronger U.S. role in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

“The fact that President Trump has begun talking about the Kosovo-Serbia agreement and ending the conflict is a positive signal for us,” said Mulliqi.

He stressed the importance of bringing the U.S. back to the negotiating table, this time in a leading role.

“I believe the time has come for America to return to the Kosovo-Serbia table and take on a primary role. This is exactly what we, as Albanian-Americans, are working toward — for America to lead the negotiations,” he stated.
