Members of the Albanian Commando Battalion are currently taking part in the pre-deployment military exercise “KFOR ‘36” in Germany, as part of preparations for their upcoming mission in Kosovo.

Albania’s Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, commended the troops for their professionalism, discipline, and operational readiness, emphasizing the commitment of the Albanian Armed Forces to fulfilling responsibilities within the NATO framework.

“Good morning from Hohenfels, Germany, where members of the Commando Battalion are on the ground participating in the pre-deployment exercise KFOR ‘36’. Professionalism, discipline, and readiness where it is most needed. We are NATO — in personnel, in training, and in the defense of collective security,” Vengu stated.

The pre-deployment exercise aims to strengthen interoperability and operational preparedness of troops before their deployment to the Kosovo Force (KFOR) mission. The training ensures that participating units meet high operational standards in line with NATO requirements.

The participation of Albanian troops in the exercise reaffirms Albania’s ongoing commitment to regional security and stability, as well as its active contribution to international alliance operations.
