Two tourists from Switzerland lost their way while exploring the mountainous area of Shebenik, but thanks to the swift intervention of the State Police and staff from the Protected Areas Administration, they were found after several hours of searching.
According to the official police statement, the tourists are in good health and have expressed their gratitude to the rescue teams for the assistance provided.
“The tourists thanked the Police officers for their readiness and help, as well as the staff of the Protected Areas,” the State Police announcement reads.
This case once again highlights the importance of institutional cooperation in ensuring the safety of visitors in the country’s natural and remote areas.
