Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that personnel from the 17th EOD Contingent of the Albanian Armed Forces are taking part in the international military exercise “Exercise OAK Resolve” currently underway in Latvia.

According to Rama, the Albanian soldiers are supporting the NATO Multinational Brigade, performing real-world tasks related to the disposal of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and clearing routes for troop movements.

“This engagement enhances interoperability with allied forces and strengthens the operational capabilities of our units in international environments,” Rama wrote on social media.

The exercise, involving troops from multiple NATO member states, aims to increase military readiness and improve the ability to operate effectively in real combat situations.
