On Wednesday, 4 March 2026, the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, officially decreed a series of changes in the composition of the Council of Ministers, approving both dismissals and new appointments in several key government ministries.
These decrees come just days after the reshuffle proposals submitted by Prime Minister Edi Rama, signaling a significant reorganization within the Albanian government.
Officials dismissed
The president decreed the dismissal of the following officials from their positions:
- Belinda Balluku, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy
- Elisa Spiropali, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs
- Pirro Vengu, Minister of Defense
- Albana Koçiu, Minister of Interior
- Besfort Lamallari, Minister of Justice
- Toni Gogu, Minister of State for Relations with Parliament
New appointments
At the same time, the president decreed the appointment of several officials to new posts:

- Ferit Hoxha as Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs

- Toni Gogu as Minister of Justice
