Albania’s Special Forces Battalion conducts 72-hour winter exercise

Personnel of the Special Forces Battalion of the Albanian Armed Forces are carrying out the 72-hour winter exercise “Illyrian Arrow-26” under extreme mountain conditions, with snow and sub-zero temperatures.

The Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, said the exercise aims to strengthen the troops’ physical and psychological capabilities in survival conditions, test new weapons and equipment, and enhance operational readiness and resilience for missions in difficult environments.

The drill is designed to prepare the forces to carry out any mission with a high level of professionalism, ensuring maximum readiness in unpredictable and hazardous conditions.
