The outgoing Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has extended his congratulations to Bedri Hamza following his election as president of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).
In a public statement, Kurti emphasized the importance of internal democratic processes within political parties, noting their role in strengthening Kosovo’s institutions and democratic culture.
“Electoral processes within political parties, as well as mutual cooperation across the political spectrum in the interest of the public, are key principles for the functioning and advancement of our state,” Kurti stated.
He further expressed his commitment to maintaining responsible cooperation with all political entities, stating that such collaboration must reflect the will of the citizens and the responsibilities required in serving the Republic of Kosovo.
The election of Bedri Hamza marks a new chapter for PDK, a major opposition party in Kosovo, as the country prepares for ongoing political developments and institutional challenges.
