Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, stated that increased investments in security institutions are strengthening the country’s stability and defense capabilities, during his participation in the Munich Security Conference.

Speaking from Munich, Kurti emphasized that he has been holding numerous meetings with European and global officials to present Kosovo’s achievements, as well as its future strategic objectives. He highlighted that this year’s conference theme focuses on global disruptions, particularly addressing the consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and broader international security threats.

Kurti described Kosovo as a country that serves as a positive example of democracy, regional development, and security stability. He underlined that Kosovo does not face significant internal security threats but continues to monitor challenges originating from its northern neighbors.

During an interview with RTK, Kurti stressed that substantial investments are being made in both the police and military sectors in cooperation with European partners, aiming to enhance operational capabilities and strengthen national defense mechanisms.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the Assembly of Kosovo for approving key international agreements, noting that over one billion euros in financial support and investment funding have been endorsed by European financial institutions.

Kurti is attending the conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca and Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci, reflecting Kosovo’s continued engagement in international security and diplomatic cooperation.
