Albin Kurti Meets Peter Sorensen, Affirms Commitment to Full Normalization with Serbia

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, emphasized the country’s commitment to continuing the normalization of relations with Serbia through mutual recognition.

He made the statement in a post on X following his meeting on Monday with the EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen.

Kurti noted that their discussions focused on Kosovo’s European integration path, strengthening the rule of law, and advancing the EU-facilitated dialogue with Serbia.

He reiterated that Kosovo remains committed to full normalization of relations with Serbia, seeking mutual recognition.

“Yesterday, I met with the EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen. We discussed Kosovo’s European integration, the rule of law, and the EU-facilitated dialogue process. We remain committed to full normalization of relations with Serbia through mutual recognition,” Kurti wrote.

Additionally, Sorensen also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Glauk Konjufca, where it was discussed that the dialogue with Serbia will be led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
