The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has sent a message of solidarity to Ukraine on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion.
Drawing parallels with Kosovo’s own post-war recovery, Kurti said he sees the same resilience in the Ukrainian people that helped Kosovo rise from the ashes of war to become a sovereign, democratic, and secure state.
“Four years after Russia’s attempt to conquer Ukraine, we stand with the people of Ukraine, with empathy and solidarity,” Kurti wrote.
In his full statement, he emphasized that the citizens of Kosovo understand the pain of displacement and loss, but also know that nations can rebuild, heal, and emerge stronger.
“We believe Ukraine will do the same. You are not alone,” Kurti concluded.
