Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, has strongly reacted to media reports concerning the schooling of President Vjosa Osmani’s daughters.
“This situation is unacceptable because we are talking about underage children who have done nothing wrong to anyone,” Haxhiu stated in a media appearance.
She emphasized that the campaign against President Osmani is directly tied to her political positions, particularly her stance toward the Serb List (Lista Srpska).
“This whole fight is happening because of President Osmani’s position against the Serb List, and this is unacceptable,” Haxhiu said on Debat Plus.
Haxhiu also defended both Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, stressing that neither has accumulated wealth while in public office. She further explained that the use of official vehicles, including for transporting children, is legally regulated.
“Using the official car is allowed by existing legislation. Sending the children of the President or Speaker of the Assembly to school with an official car is permitted. If it were not allowed, it wouldn’t have been done,” Haxhiu clarified.
