The leader of the Albanians in North Macedonia, Ali Ahmeti, has expressed his support for the protest against the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, scheduled to take place on August 7 in Pristina, calling on all Albanians to join the initiative.
In a Facebook post, Ahmeti emphasized that the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) was just and necessary.
“The war of the Albanian people, led by the Kosovo Liberation Army, was just, rightful, and supported by the entire democratic and freedom-loving world. Since the end of the war, countless international and local judicial processes have confirmed the integrity of our struggle for freedom, democracy, and independence. Justice for the Albanian people cannot be based on politically motivated processes imposed by Russia and on ‘evidence’ fabricated by Serbia. I remain an inseparable part of my nation’s fight for freedom and support the protest organized by KLA war veterans’ organizations. I invite everyone to join us on August 7, at 5:00 PM, at Skanderbeg Square in Pristina, in support of our freedom,” Ahmeti wrote.
