British MP Alicia Kearns has expressed ongoing concern about security and peace stability in the Western Balkans, following her recent meeting with King Charles III during an event that brought together regional leaders from the Western Balkans.

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Kearns described the meeting as “a special honor”, emphasizing that many share her concerns about the fragile stability of the region.

“It was a particular honor last week to meet His Majesty at an event bringing together leaders from across the Western Balkans. I remain concerned about the security and sustainability of peace in the region, and I know that many citizens — particularly veterans who served in the Balkans — share that same concern,” Kearns wrote.

The British MP added that the discussions were highly productive, noting that she had the opportunity to engage with several prime ministers and diplomats from the region.

“It was a productive evening, where I was able to speak with the prime ministers of several Western Balkan countries, alongside our diplomats,” she said.

Kearns’ remarks highlight the United Kingdom’s ongoing interest in ensuring long-term peace and stability in the Balkans, a region that continues to face geopolitical tension and security challenges.
