It is with pleasure that we publish the official circular (Rundschreiben VII2.20104/49#24) of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), which regulates registration procedures for citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
This circular was distributed on March 7, 2025, to local registration institutions (Melderegister) in all regions of Germany. However, due to the short time frame, it may happen that not all relevant institutions have yet received this document.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Berlin and all our consular missions in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, and Stuttgart remain at your service for any clarification or additional information.
