Yesterday, in Prishtina, Major General Enrico Barduani, the commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, welcomed ambassadors and heads of missions from 29 allied and partner countries contributing troops to KFOR at the KFOR Headquarters in Camp Film City.
According to a KFOR statement, the discussions focused on several key topics, including the current security situation in Kosova, ongoing KFOR activities, and cooperation with the international community.
“I emphasized the importance of unity in our efforts and our shared goals, so that together we can contribute to sustainable security throughout Kosova and regional stability,” said KFOR Commander Barduani.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999), to contribute to a secure environment for all communities living in Kosova and ensure freedom of movement for all, impartially and at all times.
KFOR operates in close coordination with the Kosova Police and EULEX (the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosova) in their respective roles as security responders, the statement added.
