The commanding general of the U.S. Army Europe and Africa, Christopher Donahue, visited the soldiers and leaders of the Regional Command East at Bondsteel Camp and Camp Nothing Hill in Kosovo.

During his visit, Donahue thanked the soldiers for their dedication to the KFOR mission and learned more about the daily operations, according to Gazeta Sinjali.

A statement from KFOR mentioned that General Donahue also met with the KFOR commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, and discussed the current security situation and the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.

“KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders,” the statement further reads.
