The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, congratulated the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence by posting a video on Facebook from today’s parade of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and the Police in Pristina.
Kurti stated that Kosovo is the youngest state on the old continent, but it may also have the longest history of struggle for its creation.
He further added, “Blessed be the Republic of Kosovo alongside Albania, the USA, and European allies.”
“In modern European history, the creation of our state is one of the most powerful and exemplary stories of the advancement of a people’s awareness for freedom and their perseverance for statehood. Our Republic is indeed the youngest state on the old continent, but it may also be the state with the longest history of efforts for its creation. Today, it is the home of our people, where we all live, without cultural and social, ethnic and religious differences, with equal participation.”
“Glory to the martyrs who fell for the freedom of Kosovo. Blessed be the path of the Republic of Kosovo alongside the Republic of Albania, together with the United States of America and our European and other Western allied countries. Bright be our future and that of all our children, in peace and progress. Happy February 17th! Congratulations on 17 years of independence,” wrote Kurti on Facebook.
