Following the decision by the Supreme Court of the Specialist Chambers of Kosovo to overturn Salih Mustafa’s 22-year prison sentence and return the case for review by the Court of Appeals, the President of the Specialist Chambers, Ekaterina Trendafilova, appointed the appeal judges panel on July 31.
The news was announced today by the Special Court through a media statement.
“On July 31, 2024, President Trendafilova appointed Judge Michèle Picard, Judge Kai Ambos, and Judge Nina Jorgensen to the Appeals Panel for the re-sentencing of Mustafa in accordance with the Decision on Mustafa’s Request for Legal Protection,” the statement reads.
