The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MASHTI) has announced that applications for subsidies on school textbooks and educational materials are now open through the e-Kosova platform.
Subsidy Details for the 2025/2026 School Year
MASHTI confirmed that financial support will be provided for students, with this year’s application process being simpler and more streamlined. The subsidies are allocated as follows:
- €80 for students in grades I to V for the purchase of textbooks and educational materials.
- €80 for students in grades VI to IX for the purchase of workbooks and educational materials.
For students in grades VI–IX, textbooks from previous generations will continue to be used, in line with Administrative Instruction No. 13/2016 regarding their provision, use, and maintenance, as practiced last year.
Simplified Application Process
This year’s process has been made easier because parents’ bank accounts remain active from previous years. As in the past two years, funds will be directly transferred to parents’ bank accounts.
Local Education Directorates have been informed in advance, and all applications will be verified by the respective schools before the transfer of funds.
