ARKEP Authorizes Starlink to Provide Services in Kosovo, Kurti: Important Step for Advancing Digital Infrastructure

During today’s Government meeting, Prime Minister Kurti announced that this week, the Regulatory Authority for Electronic and Postal Communications (ARKEP) issued a general authorization for the company Starlink.

Kurti stated that this authorization is an important step for advancing digital infrastructure in Kosovo and provides numerous opportunities for internet access in any location.

“This week, the Regulatory Authority for Electronic and Postal Communications has issued a general authorization for Starlink, which offers satellite internet access services. This authorization represents a significant step for advancing digital infrastructure in the country and provides many opportunities for internet access in every corner of the Republic of Kosovo. Starlink has proven to be exceptionally important worldwide in enabling critical communication during natural disasters or other national emergencies. The development of the electronic communications sector in our country will continue based on the principle of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo and for the benefit of businesses, institutions, and every citizen without exception. Electronic communications are a right for every citizen; they also represent a business opportunity for our companies and proven private investors coming from our friendly states,” said Kurti.
