Around 5 Million Ballots to Be Printed for Two Rounds of Kosovo’s Local Elections

The Central Election Commission of Kosovo (KQZ) announced that approximately 5 million ballots will be printed for the upcoming local elections in the fall, which include elections for Municipal Assemblies and two potential rounds for the election of Municipal Mayors.

Following its meeting on Wednesday, the KQZ approved the specifications for the printing of ballots, detailing the planned distribution:

1,800,000 ballots for the first round of mayoral elections,

1,250,000 ballots for the second round,

And another 1,800,000 ballots for the Municipal Assembly elections.

According to the Preliminary Voter List, 2,075,868 citizens are eligible to vote in the October 12 Local Elections, reflecting the scale of preparations for this crucial electoral process across Kosovo’s municipalities.
