Around 5,000 Citizens Convert Driver’s Licenses from Illegal to RKS

Kosovo citizens continue converting their driver’s licenses from illegal to those issued by the Republic of Kosovo.

According to Veton Elshani, Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the northern region, as of August 2, 4,836 driver’s licenses have been converted.

“Out of these, 1,435 were converted in Leposavić, 1,208 in North Mitrovica, 758 in Zubin Potok, 880 in Zvečan, 177 in Gračanica, 69 in Kamenica, and 53 in Shtërpcë,” he said.

The process for converting driver’s licenses began in May of this year. The deadline for the conversion is August 9. After this date, the use of illegal driver’s licenses issued to Kosovo citizens will no longer be permitted.
