Two “Black Hawk” helicopters from the United Arab Emirates Air Force have arrived today at Kuçovë Air Base to assist in firefighting operations across the country.
“The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, welcomed the crews and staff at the base, who will work closely with our forces to address the situation,” announced the Ministry of Defense.
The most critical fires are in Poliçan, where elderly residents of the nearby nursing home and residents of the “Plirëz” neighborhood have been evacuated. The situation is also problematic in the Hajdaraj area of Kavajë. (A2 Television)
