South Korean authorities have released dramatic footage of an arson attack on a train carriage, where a man doused a section with gasoline and set it ablaze while numerous passengers were inside.

The incident, which occurred on the morning of May 31, was captured by cameras within the train car. According to reports, a 67-year-old man poured gasoline on the train floor and then ignited it, causing panic and thick smoke.

Six people were injured, including a woman who slipped on the spilled gasoline. Authorities have charged the assailant with arson and attempted murder. Local media reported that the attack was motivated by the man’s anger over the outcome of his divorce.

There were no fatalities reported in this incident.
