The United States has issued a strong warning.
U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd J. Austin III, has warned what he called the few remaining countries still linked to Russia.
This warning from the Defense Secretary came with a mention of former Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, who was forced to leave his country and flee to Russia.
In his response on Twitter, he also highlighted Putin’s failure to save the Syrian dictator’s regime.
“Putin’s failure to save the Assad regime is a stark warning to the few remaining countries that might align themselves with the Kremlin,” said the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
It’s worth noting that there are several countries which, since the start of Russia’s war in Ukraine, have opposed, refused to impose sanctions on Russia, or even increased cooperation with the aggressor nation.
Among them are: Serbia, Iran, North Korea, Belarus, Venezuela, Cuba, Hungary, etc.
