London’s Heathrow Airport was shaken this morning by an attack involving what is suspected to have been pepper spray.

One individual has been arrested on suspicion of assault, according to the Metropolitan Police, which also stated that the incident is not related to terrorism or protests.

Several people are believed to have been affected and have received necessary medical treatment, although the exact number of those impacted remains unknown.

Officers were called at 08:11 this morning following reports that multiple individuals had been attacked.

The airport announced that its teams are cooperating with emergency services after an incident in the multi-storey car park of Terminal 3.

Investigations are ongoing, and police are searching for any additional suspects who may have been involved.

According to National Rail, disruptions and delays of up to 10 minutes are expected on the Elizabeth Line as a result of the incident.

Authorities are monitoring the situation and working to minimize the impact on public transportation.
