Austria’s far-right Freedom Party (FPO), Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s Fidesz and the populist ANO party led by Andrej Babis have formed a new political alliance and are inviting others to join it, the head of her FPO Herbert Kickle.
In a statement by the three leaders to the media, Kickle said he believed many other European parties would join the alliance in the coming days.
However, to form a new political group in the European Parliament, a party from a quarter of the 27 member states is required.
