Automatic Rifle and Ammunition Discovered in Barn in Zubin Potok

An automatic rifle and ammunition were discovered early Wednesday morning in the village of Radoševikë, in the municipality of Zubin Potok, under circumstances that remain unclear.

According to sources close to the investigation, the discovery was made around 01:00 on March 11, 2026, when units of the Kosovo Police Special Rapid Intervention Unit were conducting a patrol in the area.

During the patrol, officers came across a barn near an uninhabited house, where the weapon was found.

Items discovered at the scene

Police reported finding several items, including:

  • One automatic rifle AK-47, Yugoslav-made
  • Two magazines, one loaded with 27 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, while the other was empty
  • Two shotgun cartridges, caliber 12 mm
  • One military food supply device

Investigation underway

Following the discovery, relevant police units, investigators, and forensic teams from the Zubin Potok Police Station arrived at the scene. They conducted an examination and seized the material evidence.

The State Prosecutor of Kosovo has been notified and ordered that the case be registered as “Unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons.”

Authorities have not yet identified any suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
