LDK deputy Avdullah Hoti reacted to President Vjosa Osmani’s announcement that she has mandated Glauk Konjufca to form a new government, saying that the only realistic chance for such a government to be formed is through the votes of Serb List deputies.

In his statement, Hoti criticized Osmani’s decision, noting that opposition parties had already made it clear they will not support any new nominee.

“The President has based her decision for the nominee on ‘chances.’ But from her meetings with party leaders, she already received the answer that there are no such chances, as opposition MPs will not vote for any other nominee. Therefore, these so-called chances exist only if the votes of Serb List deputies are counted. There are no other chances,” Hoti declared.

This statement exposes the political deadlock in the Kosovo Assembly and raises sensitive questions about the legitimacy and stability of any government dependent on Serb List votes — a party known for its loyalty to Belgrade and influence from Serbia’s ruling SNS.
