Haxhi Avdyli, a Vetëvendosje (VV) MP, stated that Kosovo should hold new elections as soon as possible.
According to Avdyli, in the upcoming elections, citizens must show the “blockers” their place. He identified the opposition parties – Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and the Serb List – as being in alignment and acting as obstacles.
Speaking before the constitutive session of the Parliament on Friday, Avdyli emphasized that other parties do not have the right to determine VV’s proposed candidate for Speaker of the Parliament.
He stated:
“When they come first, then they decide the name. Look at what VV has done over the past 20 years. We are talking about now. They are the blockers of the state, and we need to go to elections as soon as possible so citizens can show them the place with more than 51%.”
