Kosovo and the Bahamas have signed a mutual visa waiver agreement, allowing citizens of both countries to travel freely between the two nations.
The announcement was made by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, who highlighted that the agreement marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations.
“Today, the Republic of Kosovo and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas signed a mutual visa waiver agreement for citizens of both countries. This is another positive step forward in reinforcing our bilateral relations following the Bahamas’ recent recognition of Kosovo,” Gërvalla wrote.
On December 19, 2025, the Bahamas became the 121st country to recognize Kosovo’s independence.
The Bahamas is a Caribbean island nation with a population of approximately 400,000.
